Alchemy Raven

Alchemy Raven
I'm slowly getting the hang of this new program. I've learned that I enjoy using the mirror option, though I feel more creative without it on. I enjoy birds, and feathers are something fairly easy to render in Alchemy. here is something I did tonight rather quickly.

Alchemy

I was introduced to something awesome the other night by my friend Will, (you can find his blog linked to the right). It's called Alchemy, and it's wonderful. I'm still learning how to use it and getting used to the controls, which in reality is just an excuse for my lack of skill in this area. the first image is what came out of alchemy in a minute or so, which I then took into the gimp and sketched over quickly. I see a lot of potential with this program. including custom brushes.

just old light

I've tried drawing a lot of different things today. but I haven't had any motivation, no umph. and very little friction to get started. today hasn't been good. let's just leave it at that. in any case, I managed to do a simple sketch of my left hand. fantastic. it's like I could only manage a pile of crap that is shiny or something, and I am supposed to be happy about it.

Jaw bone animation test

here is a video update. this is a project I have had to delay finishing... simply because of a lack of knowledge, and time. however, it will be finished. hopefully in time for next halloween. haha, yeah...

demon

still on a halloween drawing kick! LOVING IT! this is still a quick sketch, but I had fun with it, and it is a little creepy. but cool. simple gray sketch with an overlay layer on top.

pumpkington!

as requested by a friend on facebook, here is pumpkington! just a quick sketch with color, and a simple background. enjoy!

scarecrow

back on the boat again. my ipod is broken, and I can't listen to my audio books away from the computer, and I can't understand them if I'm doing anything that requires words to be read or written. so drawing comes naturally. good thing too.
here's what I have been messing around with.

Fox logo

I've been drawing and doing some 3D lately. it's been great! I love drawing, but not talking as much, so I'll just post a logo I did for my woodbadge patrol. it's called a totem, if you're in the know. I was in Fox patrol. look to http://blenderusergrouputah.blogspot.com/ to see the logo animation I'm working on (it's basically done, I may tweak it though.) in the hopefully near future.

3D airplane

I drew an airplane while we were doing the blender 3D usergroup last night, and today I modeled it in blender! I would have modeled it last night during the usergroup, but my little brother was using my computer. I'll put a shameless plug in right now for anyone that is interested in learning blender, the usergroup is open, and we would like to help! send me an e-mail expressing your interest and we'll get you the info you're looking for. So here is the sketch, and the 3D model so far. I would like to give it a rig, including the mouth and moving eyes... but at the moment my knowledge of blender (or any 3D program) is limiting my ability to do so. we'll figure it out, I am certain, but until then, I will just have to keep modeling it and such. I am quite excited for it.

back again, back again!

alright, maybe something every day was a little bit ambitious of me, especially since what I want to be doing is art that is more... good. fully rendered rather than just sketches. anyway, after a long break from my blog, I am back. and while I cannot promise an update everyday, I am now giving myself projects, and deadlines to reach. thanks to my friend, Will, I am back into the 3D field using Blender. I am enjoying it quite a bit now that I am actually into it again! here's what I've been working on today.
